Programmed remote control in less than five minutes on a 2005 Toyota Corolla S. Find simplified steps Step 1: Start with the ignition key removed, driver's door open and all other doors closed. Step 2: Insert and remove the key from the ignition twice within 5 seconds. Step 3: Close and open the driver's door twice, then insert and remove the key from the ignition. Step 4: Close and open the driver's door twice, then insert and remove the ignition key. Close the driver's door. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the "on" position, then turn it back to the "off" position. and remove the key from the ignition switch. Step 5: The locks should engage within 3 seconds confirming the vehicle has entered programming mode. If the locks don't work, start over from step 1. Step 6: Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. Immediately after releasing the lock and unlock buttons, press and hold the lock button itself for 2 seconds. The locks should operate once within 3 seconds, indicating successful programming. Repeat step 6 for each new and existing remote control. Step 7: To exit programming mode, open the driver's door.
