I occasionally need to cut PVC pipe for projects. This YIYITOOLS Tube and Pipe Cutter (42 mm size) will easily cut PVC pipe up to 42 mm (about 1 and 5/8ths inches) outside diameter. I received what the second photo says is the "old" version of the tool. Note that although the photos match, the listing text does not accurately describe the 42 mm size of the tool: there is no rubber on the handles, and the "safety buckle" at the end of the handles for holding them together when not in use is metal. I actually had to practice a bit with this tool before I succeeded in making (almost) square cuts; the pipe needs to be firmly supported, and my best results were achieved by rotating the tool to score the pipe all around while slowly squeezing the handles to make the ratcheting blade cut deeper. Although I won't need to use it very often, the YIYITOOLS Tube and Pipe Cutter seems study enough to stand up to years of use while remaining lightweight enough to use with one hand.
