I had to trust all the negative reviews. The connection to the TV does not work.

I have an official Apple adapter with USB-C on one end and HDMI, USB-A and USB-C on the other. I just wanted to connect my phone to the TV. The description said that adapters can transmit data. I thought maybe this would work since I have an official Apple adapter. I tried two TVs and a computer monitor and neither of them knew anything was connected at all. I returned them a day later for a refund.
