Rough Aftertaste: Oral Care

I was skeptical of the reviews saying these tastes are like chemicals, but they're right. , then after about a minute of sucking and chewing I noticed I had a really bad taste in my mouth. I moved it around and kept chewing it and more of the good cinnamon flavor came out, but the bad taste came back from time to time. Finally I finished the toothpick and threw it away. And now I have the aftertaste of that bad taste with a hint of cinnamon in my mouth. It's hard to describe the bad taste. It's a bitter taste, very bitter. Tastes pretty much what I would expect from resin, just a very unpleasant taste. Maybe similar to lemon zest, but without a good lemon flavor. I'm not sure what's causing the bad taste. Maybe it's the wood they use, or more likely it's some kind of preservative or spice enhancer they use in their flavor blend. The ingredients say "Natural (cinnamon oil) and artificial flavors". Went back to another brand of mine that I know I like. , Cinna Peaks. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007K97JK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) There are 24 packs of 15 sticks each at about the same prices per stick as this one (18 sticks / $1 against 20 patients/$1). This brand might be a bit hotter, but after my first stick I can't take it anymore. My stomach is not very happy with me now and I have a terrible taste in my mouth and that is exactly why you are using them!

Pros
  • Intense, lingering hot and sweet cinnamon flavor
Cons
  • boring packaging
