Review on πŸ–ŠοΈ 9 Pack Sanding Pads specifically designed for Pen Turning by Mike Palma

Useful but definitely NOT quality Micro Mesh

I have several Micro Mesh sanding pads that I use on plastic models and they don't reach the quality and durability of MM. Firstly the color code is for grain out. I had to do a few tests to find out the actual grit of each pad, which only gave about 50% accuracy. It would be nice if they listed the actual grit on the last one instead of using imprecise color coding. Second, the abrasive is removed from the plate fairly quickly, especially with wet sanding. You can see graininess in the water and a worn spot on the plate after ONE use. On the other hand, they are larger than standard MM cymbals, so you can at least use them to some extent. 9 grit is good too. Overall I'd say they're useful, but don't expect Model Mesh quality.
