Update: 2/9/20 The shaver no longer works. It no longer holds a charge for more than 30 seconds. Experience has shown that even if the battery is empty, it is better to hope that the film will not eat away at your beard hair. The razor dangling from my close-cropped beard wasn't fun at all to remove from my face - it hurt! I am returning this defective product after 3 months of use. First Rating: All I can get him to do is grab and pull at his stiff whiskers. To be clear, I don't use it like a foil shaver. I have a Norelco that I use for a close shave. I have fairly coarse hair and the gray areas in particular don't get cut. I used another Braun model, the Cruzer, to trim my beard and keep it in good condition for ten years and it was amazing until it finally died. It's not for me on coarse hair. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you also have coarse beard hair. I wish I could return it and try a different model but I threw away all the packaging.
