I bought my best friend a nice set of AT&T landlines last year and I spoke to her and she mentioned that she was going to buy another set of phones! I asked her why? She said they didn't work very well. I can't remember having to switch landlines every year! I told her I'll see what I can do since I bought them as a gift for her. I thought about how often she bought new phones. I called her and asked if she had tried changing the batteries? She said no! I told her not to buy a new set until I ordered the batteries for the phones I bought her. As it turned out, all she had to do was change the batteries. The original batteries lasted exactly one year. I have to say my girlfriend uses her landline more than anyone I know and she has no interest in exploring her cellphone! I've noticed that she throws away her phone system every year. I guess I assumed they tried new batteries before buying a new system! I guess I have to buy her another set of batteries before she needs them!
