This is the third pair of these shoes for my daughter. I ask her every year if she would like one, and her "yes" is no hesitation. Toe protection protects against wear and tear and supports you as a running shoe, according to your fashion sense. She has different shoes but these are by far her favorites. They last until she outgrows them, which justifies the purchase price. The weakest part is the velcro which makes the socks lose their 'velcro' by the end of the year preventing me from passing them on to another kid. It's a shame, because otherwise they don't really wear out.
