Best LAN speed for old laptop

Good job for this "USB3.0 hub_RJ45 ethernet port" (brand not specified). The first; Using last year's Lenovo V570 laptop on a MINT 20, I verified that my download speed is 64.3Mbps - currently it's around 200Mbps. What just happened here? The only reason I'm checking this is because the RJ-45 LAN port on this old laptop didn't work for years and I switched from a different brand of USB to LAN adapter to this one to use wired ethernet with to use additional USB ports. The first test showed 218 Mbps! I will keep testing the speed but for now I will buy 2 more of these and see whether they are faster than the LAN ports of other old computers directly - in this wired Ethernet LAN system directly connected to the router ports with cables and switches - in the happy kingdom. 224.2 Mbps, 215.1 Mbps, 223.5 Mbps, 163.3 Mbps, 147.4 Mbps, 215.8 Mbps. Your mileage may vary based on methods, cables, equipment, distance, and operating system. The good thing is that the firewall will show this as a 1000Mbps Ethernet USB device and it will perform better than any other USB to LAN adapter. good device.
