I bought it a little over a month ago to wear it when riding my motorcycle. I was hit by an articulated lorry while I was riding an electric bike. This happened on April 30, 2019. It was a hit and run and I was covered in blood and lost some skin around my ankles, right forearm and left knee. Fracture of the tibia on the left leg, which has healed. I have since ordered this armor and hardened face mask to wear with my helmet and armored gloves that I already had. This item essentially consists of padding and strong plastic armor covering the shoulders, forearms/elbows, back and front sewn onto a lightweight mesh fabric. At first I thought the mesh might tear, but after many days of wearing it held up. If the web breaks in the future, I can remove the soft armor from the web and still wear the armor without the web. Custom made soft armor for forearms/elbows, shoulders, back and front comes with straps. I imagine I can still wear them with the straps even if I rip the mesh off. It costs money. In terms of size, I chose X-Large. I usually wear plus size clothes. I would order a size or two larger than you normally wear.
