Bought this bell with some hesitation, I had doubts about durability, if it's really useful and would my boy really let it hang on the wall / ledge. Everything met my expectations and many times I wanted to send it back. Some reviews claimed that this product failed and broke off (I wish that would happen now) so I installed it on the mold when it arrived. I'd rather fill in two small holes and apply some white paint than try to patch drywall and match the paint to the existing paint. I also planned on swapping out all of the door moldings for a more decorative look. Installation was easy, no instructions required. A few seconds after I rang the bell my boy found it and in less time sniffed it by ringing the bell again I immediately opened the door. After about 3 more times, fading in and out, he realized what the call was for. After a few hours and a hundred calls, I realized I had screwed up. This bell is evil and asks your dog to ring it when he (or she) is feeling a little exhausted. "Oh, you don't want to hear me chasing my ass!" Oh, so *RING**RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING * *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING* *RING * I know him, which is why I mostly call him a liar, so to annoy me he rings the bell with all the strength of his snout before leaving, or walks around the island to ring again if I don't already have it all in. Unless he abuses his power, this call is worth all the swearing (or loud), all the rock-paper-scissors-rounds with your man to decide whose turn it is to let him out and the funny memories i already drew of that soft-warm-loving pain in @'ss. This simple doorbell has taught me a lot about my boy, I can tell when he's full of himself or when he really needs to get out. If it breaks now I would buy it again if we haven't already installed an automatic dog door. installed at the end of July. (Not proofread or edited)
