Light weight, great scratch resistance but low drop protection

36dB Surface Pro Case, Microsoft Surface Pro 7 / Pro 6 / Pro 5 / Pro 4 / Pro 2017 /Pro 2018 Rugged protective case, adjustable viewing angle Surface Pro Shockproof Case with Pen Holder (Black)… The case comes in a very plain cardboard box with an identification sticker on the outside. In the box, the case is encased in a plastic bag with a soft foam sheet to provide some support for the empty case. The outer frame of the case is made of hard plastic with small rubber bumpers on the four corners. The inside of the flat body is lined with some sort of soft material that shouldn't scratch the frame of your surface. Right at the part where your stand protrudes from your surface, the back of the case pivots to pop out right with your stand connected together as one piece. The base of the case, at the bottom where the stand is located, is cut out for attaching a surface keyboard. The keyboard cutout is big enough for me to easily attach and remove the keyboard cover. However, the part of the body that attaches to the running board had a little trouble installing it. For the stand function, you need to put the case over the stand on the stand. To keep it closed, there's a small elastic in one of the top corners that you can pull across the keyboard to correct the stand so it stays closed. Basically, this frame is very light and quite light and builds/protects. A small holder on one side holds a surface pen, but not particularly tight. The small rubber bumpers on the bottom two corners don't do much for protection and seem more to keep things in place than to protect them. The cutout on the side is large enough to charge and connect a USB device without much obstruction.
