Review on AVerMedia Gamer 1080P Capture GC570D by Gustavo Mathew

Install Windows 7 drivers from AVerMedia website as far as I can tell but nothing that works on Windows 7 doesn't recognize the card properly including OBS, AVerMedia AssistCentral and AVerMedia RECentral. Windows Device Manager shows the card as a "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" with error code 20 "Drivers for this device are not installed". The HD 2 card is installed in the same PCIe slot as my old AVerMedia Live Gamer. The HD card (not 2) was installed after complete uninstallation. The AVerMedia software suggests trying a different PCIe slot if the card isn't recognized, but that's not a problem. The driver software and/or firmware is not working properly. I've tried changing PCIe slots, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and different versions of software, running as administrator, etc., but with no progress. returned this card immediately but as it turned out it works for me in OBS in Manjaro (a popular operating system based on Arch Linux) with the built in Linux drivers for it (manual driver installation is not required), while the old Live Gamer HD cards weren't and in the same PCIe slot where the old card was installed. You lose some, you gain some I think, but this card should work on Windows 7 (that's why I got it instead of other options) and it doesn't, so 2 stars out of 5 seems generous. Fair warning, if like me you prefer to use Windows 7 instead of 8 or 10, good luck.
