My Shop-Vac's hub made the high-pitched squeaks (and weird groans when it's off) that many others have reported. Upon researching I found that others had successfully replaced the bushing with this bearing so thought it might be worth a try. Why buy a new vacuum cleaner when a pack of these stocks was so cheap? It works out. The hardest part was removing the old bushing (watch some videos online on how to do this). This new bearing fit in the same space and wasn't too tight on the shaft at all. Just fits well. I can now use the Shop-Vac without the weird noises and squeaks and honestly I feel like I have a brand new vacuum. Very cool. Plus a few spare bearings for. however? Maybe they fit into some other things with motors. I can never tell.
