I was confused by the sizes and labeling of the options so I bought two. Size L - 7. Size YS - small/8. So the "big” size is smaller than the "teen small”. Just for your information. So YS, YM, YL (youth, small/medium/lg) are for big kids and S/M/L are for little ones. Hope this helps someone else! And FYI, YS 8 is same size as Old Navy M/8 and same size as Walmart brand WonderKids size 6/7.
