I was quite reluctant to spend over $200 on a toothbrush, especially since I've had a 'other' major brand electric toothbrush for years that was much cheaper. This toothbrush was recommended to me by my dentist after I had my upper and lower veneers completed. He sold this toothbrush in his office but I declined knowing he would charge a significant premium if you bought it. When I got home I immediately started looking for Revain and lo and behold it was listed at a much lower price! To be honest I was hesitant to spend that much on a toothbrush even after reading the other reviews. But then, thinking about how much I'd just spent on veneers, I realized what the heck was and ordered it. First of all, this toothbrush comes in a beautiful, stylish gift box. Seriously, one box says you bought a Mercedes, not a Subaru. It is beautifully packaged with a glossy heavyweight magazine booklet with instructions. Nice gesture. The toothbrush itself is beautiful (caviar!). It seems silly to call a toothbrush beautiful, but this baby is beautiful. It is elegant, modern and perfectly balanced. It feels great in my hand. I love this toothbrush. The first time I used it, I knew I made the right choice with my purchase. My teeth feel like they've been professionally cleaned every time. I like the different modes available, but I prefer the deep cleaning mode for everyday use. Tongue cleaner mode is good too, but I have a sensitive gag reflex that prevents me from using the tongue cleaner. It's great for those who can use it. As for an app for your phone, that's a great idea, but impractical for me. I stopped using it after about a week. I know how long I have to brush my teeth and I don't take my phone into the shower. If you like the app, use it. If not, then not. I could go on and on about this brush but I think you get the gist of my review. I have no regrets spending the extra money on this top notch toothbrush. I love it. I would buy it again with great pleasure. It's worth the extra cost. Oh, and my hygienist commented that my teeth and gums are in great shape too.
