I have used a regular flat chisel and sharp punch to remove several sets of ball joints that were factory riveted on GMC and VW vehicles. I took a dremel and a cutting wheel and made a cross on each rivet head. The flat chisel effortlessly removes the rivets in a few seconds. I switch to a tip cutter and he pushes the remaining rivet material all the way through the hole. I was surprised to see in YOUTUBE videos that professional mechanics spend over 30 minutes removing riveted ball joints. (The method above makes this a quick job. It takes longer to set up than the job itself.) In all, a flat chisel was used on 12 rivet heads and has plenty of life left. I highly recommend this product
