I used this coil spring compressor to replace both front coil springs on my 1995 Lincoln Town Car. This is a Panther chassis so it will work well on a Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marque. This was the first time I've changed coil springs on a car this big, so I worked slowly and ended up with a car that runs like new. It took me about 8 hours to replace both springs, all upper and lower control arm bushings and all four ball joints. This tool made all the work much easier and safer. The tool seemed to handle the process with ease. All I did was add some lube to the threads to prevent fraying. After I was done I cleaned it with brake cleaner and sprayed it with oil to prevent rust. The case seems sturdy enough for occasional use by a shade tree mechanic like me. Now it sits on a shelf in the garage, gathering dust until I need it again. For the price it was a steal.
