As a woman of color with thick, shoulder length, processed hair, many of the reviews were mostly from Caucasian women or unprocessed hair leaving me with mixed feelings about the product, so I googled the curling iron for Women of color perms and Babyliss Pro Nano, Titanium topped the list of 5 others. I was a bit hesitant at the time because of the price until I thought Revain had a good return policy. So I dared, ordered by 8pm on Sunday and had it delivered by 2:30pm on Monday, no other delivery service can beat that speed. So you can wait for the iron to be delivered to your home and made for work. Mind you, my hair looks a bit frizzy and I have trouble with split ends, so bad that I'm about to cut it into a short bob. I was very impressed with how quickly it heats up. The boost button didn't work well, or I just didn't know how to use it. I did a test run through my hair with a curling iron to see how hard or soft it grabs my hair. The final step was the application of heat. MY GOD. I was so so so pleased with the evenly distributed heat, how smooth and shiny it left my hair after applying the heat. I softened the root and all I had to do was run the curling iron slowly through my hair once and boy I'm telling you my split ends are completely gone. I had an inch wave and it made my hair bouncy with a gorgeous salon look and professional soft curls. I am completely satisfied and love every feature. The last time I bought a curling iron was when it was a barrel of gold. Oh one more thing, I've never felt the spring action of a curling iron pull my hair out or break my split ends further. The spring held gently, wrapping my hair around the shaft.
