I did so much research before buying a heart rate monitor and finally settled on an August birthday. I definitely made the wrong decision. I had to send it back immediately, but I wanted to try it. The band itself doesn't have enough grip to stay tight during a workout, so it's tight enough at the beginning of a workout, but loosens up during the workout and I have to keep adjusting it to keep it from slipping down my waist. The GPS in the app is total crap. Not even remotely recording the correct distance (I'm talking miles). I'm not in a place with poor network coverage as all my other GPS apps are working fine. If I turned off the GPS and just tried to measure my heart rate during a run, it only records properly half the time. Sometimes there are huge gaps. Others just stop halfway. I have the same problem when using it during Madness. Now I even have trouble getting my heart rate up at the start of a workout. I've gone through all the FAQs and tried everything but if it decides it doesn't work that day I can't run it. This led to frustration and delays as I tried to fit my workout into my busy schedule. Save money and buy another heart rate monitor. Maybe I just got a defective one, but I refuse to spend more money to find out. Updated to indicate that the device has stopped working less than 9 months after purchase.
