Review on Quadcopter DJI Mavic 2 Pro, gray by Agata Maruszczyk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

Before him I used Phantom 4, Phantom 4 pro, Mavic air, Inspire 2. 1. Camera: First of all, for me, it's the quality of the video at these sizes. There is a 10-bit D-log which takes time to get used to and learn how to paint. First impressions were sad, now I'm high. There is a crop mode, at the output we get about 35mm equivalent focal length - the perspective is eaten up and we get a nice movement. The texture of the video is soft, more "cinematic" than it was in the Phantom 4 pro with the right picture profile settings. The quality of pictures in RAW format is not much (as it seemed to me) different from Phantom 4 pro, I didn’t notice much difference, except for noise at the edges. Jpeg by default is not even bad. The difference between the picture and Mavic air is significant, especially after dark. 2. Suspension: Very strong and protected camera gimbal. In the Phantom 4 pro, in very strong winds, the gimbal often gave up its positions and the camera tilted sharply to the side, or the picture simply shook (if you do not use ND filters that soften this shake). Mavic 2 does not have this. Sometimes the horizon floats from a strong wind, but this is because the drone itself tilts to stabilize 3. Smart modes: I note for myself the automation of the Timelapse mode. What used to be done by hand is now done by the drone itself. 4. Rest: Compact drone with high capacity battery, less noisy compared to P4pro, Mavic air. It holds the wind and communication with the remote control well. I would like full-fledged parking sensors on the side, but this is a limitation due to the specifics of the case. It is convenient to transport, carry in a backpack (which cannot be said about phantoms). There were almost no problems with the compass, I encountered these problems more often on phantoms. I would like a more capacious remote, but it's good that it is charged from a simple usb (powerbank). I still enjoy using this drone.

Pros
  • - Output video quality (10 bit D-log) - Drone DIMENSIONS - Stability in the air - Capacious battery - Quiet - Sturdy camera gimbal - Smart auto modes
Cons
  • - Lack of fully functional side sensors. - Not very capacious remote control battery - Barrel when recording video from a full sensor.
