I love this french press. Looks and weight in hand just right. It suits the style of a farmhouse, modern or mid-century European cottage, almost any design style. Just the sight makes me happy. It also doesn't get hot with it since it's double-walled. However, I've owned it for probably less than 6 months and the paint is peeling. To be honest we washed it in the dishwasher several times and then it started peeling off. I've hand washed it since, but the damage has already started and it keeps peeling. So my advice is to hand wash it from the start and you'll probably be fine. It probably even says "hand wash" in the manual, and I decided I wasn't good enough for such menial jobs. Either way, buy it, you'll love it and give it the gentle care it deserves.
