Just because you can cut grass or cook delicious meatloaf doesn't mean you can install one. Don't use a poppet valve, install a built-in shutoff valve (you can hire a plumber or use extra shutoff valves). The electrics can be tricky but it comes with a diagram so follow the lines. Follow the instructions on how to install the humidistat and it works perfectly. I've had it for 5 seasons now with no problems. Requires annual maintenance of $9 cleaning and seal replacement. Oh yeah, the pads "look dirty/worn" but that's how they look to absorb moisture. Complain about what you know, not what's over your head.
