these things work. Goodbye soldering!

I was skeptical. After seeing these connectors on several listings, all 2 or 3 stars, I was convinced they were going to be junk, they would break instantly, they wouldn't make a good connection etc etc but I was fed up with soldering these tiny wires and then after a few weeks with broken solder joints so I bought a pack of these to try. yeah, I'll leave that soldering iron in the trash can from now on. So the hardest part of using it is getting the wires into the channels before clamping them, but it's not hard. I split the wires down about an inch because they need to be spaced a bit to fit the channels. I didn't strip the ends or anything, just plugged in the wires, inserted into the channels and clamped. Just in case, I wiggled the wires back and forth after putting the clip on them to make sure they wouldn't slip out and also to help the clip cut through the wire insulators a bit to make contact to manufacture. Then I placed the LED strip on the other side and (which goes without saying on this side) clamped it in place until it snapped into place. that was it. no solder, electrical tape or shrink tubing. I placed two of these clips on a piece of wire connecting two strips of light about 6 feet apart and both clips connected well on the first try without having to fiddle with them. They hold securely on either side, and while it takes a bit of effort to snap the latches into place, they're probably easy enough to manipulate for most people (especially if you have pliers). I'm so glad I gave these little clips a chance. I wish I had done it years ago.
