Best Flush Filler

Honestly, this is the best flushable cat litter I could find for a reasonable price. I live in an apartment building where we're not allowed to throw kitty litter down the chute, but we don't have a trash can that we have access to, and in Seattle they don't allow pet waste to be composted (although I sometimes see old trash without it). clumps or droppings on the compost). The best solution I've found for this is to purchase a washable filler. Yes, I know it's an environmental concern, but since my cats are only indoors and parasite-free, I don't care. I tried this litter, World's Best, Garfield, Cat's Pride and Oko Cat. Don't even bother with Oko the cat. This is the worst filler I've ever tried (impossible to scoop and doesn't clump). The other 3 worked perfectly. However, World's Finest was more expensive and Garfield made even more chaos. Cat's Pride was a really great and cheapest option, but I was concerned that it wouldn't biodegrade as I flush it down the toilet and sometimes like to compost the 'clean' bits of old litter. Both Swheat Scoop and World's Best work the same way. Both are very easy to crumple and pick up. Both litters have tracking so I only gave it 4 stars but I don't know if there is a washable litter that doesn't track. So it became my trash. Also, I highly recommend getting a colander (I think they're made for panning for gold or gardening) from Revain, along with one of those plastic buckets they sell at Home Depot or Lowe's. Then you put a colander on top of the bucket and just dump the whole tray in and it sifts it through in a few seconds. You can then toss the clumps and poop down the toilet, and the bottom of the bucket will contain clean litter that you can then pour back into the litter box.

Pros
  • Farm Grown, Not Mined: Traditional filler is made from open pit clay. Conversely, sWheat Scoop is farm grown, ground and then packaged for purchase; It's that easy
