If you are looking to extend the life of your hockey gloves this is a great solution. It's not sticky, but it's not a slippery grip for your stick. Keeps your gloves in good shape and doesn't discolour (I use white). Can be used many times before repackaging. Prevents wear on gloves. From experience: One roll covers about 9 inches (hold and stretch a bit). Double layer at the end for more protection of the gloves. I tape the bottom end in place (tape down) with a shin band to keep it from unraveling. - I wrap the stick under this tape with regular tape to make this tape fit better on the stick.
