Highly recommended

Very small. Attractive design. Windows 10 Pro and Home automatically detect and configure it on my desktop and laptop. The rotary volume control has a nice, weighted feel when rotated and adjusts headphone and line-out output levels. The headphone amplifier has sufficient power (it can drive very loud volume levels with both Etymotic Hf5 16 ohm headphones and Shure SRH144 32 ohm headphones). The audio output when connected to my desktop monitor's USB outputs was affected by pops and crackles, but apparently this is due to the instability of the power supply to the hub-type USB outputs. Connecting the device to the USB output on the front of the system unit, which is connected directly to the motherboard connector, solved the noise problem. This is a limitation of all USB powered audio devices and is not an inherent problem with this product. The allowable sound adjustments (treble boost or bass boost) are not subtle, but can be close to correct for playback devices that exhibit a distinct lack of high or low frequency response. I've only had this product for a day but it seems to work exactly as intended and advertised and it solves problems I've had with my laptop's headphone output and desktop computer monitor soundbar - the output level is too high for some sources low and a non-linear (no bass) output response.
