I don't have very thick hair and the elastics don't stretch very much, but the second time I used them I didn't even wrap them around my ponytail once , as if the rubber band inside had snapped and rendered it unusable. I have the others because they come boxed, but after that I don't expect them to last long either. UPDATE: After I posted my initial review, Whaline reached out to me to offer a full refund and said they would consider my review for future productions. Whilst it is disappointing that they are not the best quality at the moment I am pleased with Whaline's customer service for contacting me so quickly and offering me a refund. for the price, especially in the packaging, but above all because the company cares about quality control and customer service.
