I was very surprised when I received these elastics, the velvet on these elastics is dense and the fabric seems to be of good quality like what you can buy in Ultra or City stores as they are medium sized. So if you have thick hair for dinner, they may not suit you. I don't have very thick hair and the elastics don't stretch very much, but the second time I used them I didn't even wrap them around my ponytail once , as if the rubber band inside had snapped and rendered it unusable. I have the others because they come boxed, but after that I don't expect them to last long either. I only needed certain colors so I picked them out and gave the rest away. I use it almost every day and wrap my hair in a bun so you don't see too much of the wrap. Holds up well. I was worried the fabric would be too slippery for my fine hair, but it's not. The quality seems to be good.

I use the Curly Girl Method (CGM) and love these hair ties. Hair doesn't get tangled in it, very soft. I expect them to last as long as other rubber bands, but there are so many that I haven't had to buy them for a while. Large variety of colors and excellent quality. I have very fine hair so I have to repeat it a lot because it slips out, but I would definitely rather do that than pull it out with another hair tie. I will buy again when I run out.

Superb set of velvet hair ties. The colors are very saturated/dark and a wide range. You can buy two at the retail store but for the same price so it's a great deal! Some of the elastic drawstrings are a little loose and not that tight, but I really like them so far.

They are SUPER firm and will dent/damage your hair - my hair is normal dark hair that I've wanted to grow out and I can't even pull it back into a ponytail. for 5 minutes without removing it or hitting it hard. Do not buy if you want to avoid damaging your hair.
