Review on Studio Basic Ballet Girls' Clothing for Active by Capezio by Anne Romero

Revainrating 2 out of 5

There is no such thing as quality

Capezio is written on the belt. The label says Capezio. Even the RN number on the back of the label is the same model number. But what's on sale here has nothing to do with the other high quality Capezio tights we've bought before. First, the tape is a hard elastic band that makes the seam on the back very stiff and scratchy, as another reviewer mentioned. This band is neither soft nor flexible like you would expect from underwear. Second, the fabric itself is tough and prickly. Because the label is sewn on crookedly, it ends up sticking out and causing irritation on our daughter's lower back. Overall the size seems to match the others we have but the quality isn't as good. Let's get this pair back. The photos show the Best Buy pair in the background and the old pair we own above. We bought the previous tights at a local dance store; it's a little lighter pink, much softer, the belt is soft and comfortable and holds up well (no pilling etc.). So we tried to buy the same brand through Best Buy. Lesson learned - just go to the dance store and shop so we can get authentic Capezio branded stuff.

Pros
  • Very good
Cons
  • My daughter is 7 years old, size 7 did not fit. VERY tight and with holes in the middle.
