Straight out of the tube, these colors fit my palette perfectly. They work best when used as highlights over non-metallic colors. It's the contrast that brings them to life. The ONLY reason they don't get 5 stars is because you can't see where they are or what they will look like until they dry. I learned this the hard way. One of the pictures I took shows rocks, rippling water, pine trees, a bridge, a bird on the bridge and the sky. Yes, it's a bridge and a bird. I painted them metallic and couldn't see them so I added more color. I have waited. I didn't see them and added color thinking those colors are too transparent. The next time I looked they were all dry. And they looked exactly how you see them 😳 But once you KNOW you're adding color and pretending you're an undercover spy giving a secret code to a public museum, it can be a lot easier to work with . The colors are pure enough to give an idea of the colors underneath, but thick enough to be the color it really is.
