Go a size or two up for a better fit.
The skirt is beautiful, but is not true to size, especially if you have a butt, hips, and thighs. Bought this for my daughter who normally wears a large. I bought both a large and xlarge and I figure I would keep the better fit. The xlarge came first and it was a bit too tight. So I order the xxlarge, 3 of them, and returned the large and xlarge. So we went 2 sizes up for it to properly fit her butt, hips, and thighs. But again, the skirt is beautiful.
