Can't you put it in the dryer?
I go to wash a shirt before I wear it and find that it needs to be washed on a delicates, dried flat and if necessary lightly ironed. I took it out of the washing machine, once it's gone it's decomposed, it's dry and boy does it need ironing. That's too much work for a golf shirt.
