I had low expectations for a light stick in this price range. I can't compare it to other brands as this is my first glow stick I've ever bought. Other reviews have mentioned that it cannot be used while charging, but I can confirm that you can turn it on while charging. Remote control. It didn't seem to work at first, but I found out that you have to turn it on first using the power button on the stick itself, and then you can use the remote to turn it on and off and change colors. But after turning the wand off completely by holding down the power button on the wand's grip, you can no longer control it with the remote control. The build quality is solid and I love that it includes a padded carry case for extra protection. I think I'll order a second one. Great addition to your gear bag.
