I had to spend money on a lot of paperwork as I will be working from home for a while. the laptop stand was one of them. I bought a collapsible one first because I wasn't sure what the difference was and after receiving it I found that it couldn't stand up as upright as I needed it to, so I went and bought this one. I need this for my portable monitor more than my laptop because my portable monitor doesn't stand alone. The quality of this stand is excellent! Much higher than I expected. It's made of very strong materials and requires a lot of muscle power to open or adjust, which I like as the fold collapses on me 5 times a day! He is very learned and reliable. It doesn't move, it doesn't wobble, and it's definitely not flimsy! The price was more than reasonable for its quality and functionality, as you can see in my video, it can stand my monitor up as I need it. I can't work at a very low angle with my monitor. This stand really changed everything when it comes to office equipment and I recommend it over a folding stand if you have a portable monitor. For a laptop, this is great for adding extra workspace to your desk! You can raise it higher, giving you a workspace for workbooks and more. There are very good grip pads under the stand and above where the monitor or laptop sits to ensure it doesn't fall or move during use. Where the laptop sits, there are vents that provide ventilation to keep the laptop from overheating. There is some weight to this stand, but that's to be expected from quality materials, but it's light enough and portable enough to carry around in a backpack or bag without breaking your back. My son often steals this stand while studying online because he also uses a portable monitor. I will be buying one of these now knowing what it's worth and the quality! This was by far one of the best home office upgrades I've made for myself and I will be buying it again.
