I can't believe it turned out exactly like the picture!

As a Titanic fanatic, I've always wanted a ship model that can be illuminated with LED lights. After seeing the prices of finished models on other websites and on Revain, I made a choice based on the price and the amazing detail. Disclaimer: I do not make models. I don't like riddles. Well I really enjoyed building this amazing ship. My biggest concern was that I might damage the piece or mess up the pitch and ruin the final product. It never happened. It took a long time (about 8 hours a week) but it was worth it. She is great in every way and I really enjoyed the process. Tips for you: 1) Check the light first. There's nothing worse than putting everything together and realizing the light isn't working. 2) Use paper tape to mark the wires for the lights. They are colored in the instructions. In fact, they are all the same color. This will be very helpful during construction and you will eventually be able to easily remove the tape. 3) As many other reviewers have mentioned, use a small screwdriver to poke out any small holes. 4) Clear gift wrapping tape is great. for wires and to ensure the reliability of some connections. 5) Glue is definitely needed for some small parts. While almost all parts fit very securely, some deck and side elements (particularly cranes and propellers) are very lost. A few drops of glue will do that. 6) When assembling large body parts, start in the middle and work your way forward. 7) For parts that show obvious signs of bending, bend the parts before attempting to assemble them. This is especially true for chimneys. Make the chimneys tight circles and then connect them. You don't need a ribbon. 8) Don't be afraid to break the pieces. It's very well done. I'm not saying the pieces won't tear or crease, more than saying they are well made and the pieces are securely attached. Bonus: I sprayed some cotton and used painter's tape into the top of the chimneys to add some realistic smoke effects. It was insanely fun and the finished product justifies all the work!
