Firstly I'm a guy. I'm not sure if that matters, but just walking down the women's aisle seems to be a lot busier. So take this review with a grain of salt. I've been using it for about ten years now. I have dry scalp that can get pretty bad and before using this I looked through all the shampoos under the sun to find something to soothe it. Regular shampoos, moisturizing shampoos, tar-scented shampoos, none of which worked consistently. And some smelled like tar, which not only made my scalp itchy but also smelled like tar. Enter this shampoo. It's been so long since I started using it I can't remember how many days it took me to start working but it can't have been too long because I'm young and was impatient. My hair is still soft so you don't sacrifice hair quality for the scalp. When I travel and forget to use this shampoo, it's a real disappointment because after a few days my head starts itching again. The only real problem with this product is that it usually costs around $10 at stores near me. So when I found it on Revain for $5-6, it was the fastest subscription and save solution of my life. With this product line, reductions are inevitable. Please take a moment in the distant future to think of me and to reflect lovingly on the evanescence of our time with the things we hold dear. So I gave two stars for the thickness. The thickness of the shampoo is five stars because that is exactly the thickness of the shampoo. But there are many things thicker than this shampoo in our great world, so it really seems like only two stars compared to all the thick ones. Make it what you want.
