I have a dog with initial hip dysplasia. I bought this for her because it contains glucosamine. Since then, about 2 years, he has been fine, there are no signs of the disease progressing, he loves food. BUT, I have another dog that was starting to have "chronic digestive problems" (my polite term for chronic diarrhea) and it could be BAD. I would bring them back to normal with rice milk and rice and then back again. Took away all the human "treats" and canned food and just left her on that dog food and she went back to normal. Now she can eat a limited amount of canned food (1/4 can) morning and night, and this food is free during the day. She has no diarrhea!
