Overall I am very happy I bought this side view mirror for a 2009 Honda Odyssey. I ordered 1-day delivery (until 1pm EST) and received it in Columbus, Ohio as promised. Here's a breakdown compared to the original Honda equipment (dealer price $285, no install plus two days of waiting). Advantages: + The dimensions and shape of the mirror are very close to the original equipment. I see no difference + No need to remove the entire door panel like on older Odysseys. Just focus on the black plastic cover (see below). + The outer shell can be replaced with a painted shell of the original mirror. Release pins REQUIRED - see below for details. + Matte black case. Looks very decent + I was able to reuse the original mirror adjust motor + Comes with a full set of mounting nuts and bolts + Only fifty bucks! That's more than five times cheaper than at the dealer. Cons: - Doesn't get hot. The original mirror is heated (this forced me to dismantle both mirrors and move the motor assembly to a new housing); - The motor assembly for the mirror adjustment is NOT original equipment (if you plan on changing the internals like I did) - Mounting points for the new motor assembly for no math, but I was able to cut three plastic pins and fit; - Removing the mirror glass from the mirror housing was difficult and I broke off 2 of the 8 small plastic clips. Other: I could use the mirror as is and live with black color and no glass heating. But I had two hours, so I decided to try and transfer the heated glass and painted outer shell from the old mirror to the new one. Success! If you're considering a solution like this, you might need to know the following: 1. Replacement and installation is easy - just three screws. A latch is hidden closer to the door hinge. No need to remove the door panel! There is a special little black plastic cover that you can pry up (behind the window frame) and slide straight up.1. Honda does not sell internal parts separately from the complete body kit. Replacement glass is available.2. The glass and its support do not correspond to the original Honda glass. The glass is mounted on the mirror shift motor assembly.3. The trick to removing the motor assembly is to separate the pins from the white connector. This white connector is used to connect the black connector to the wires coming out of the car door. The pins in this connector are held in place by tiny plastic clips that can be opened from the inside. You can then pull out any cables still attached to the motor assembly. Take photos as you go to keep track of screws and wire colors.
