It even tips over under the sheer weight of a webcam.

The sheer weight of the webcam makes it fall over. The base just isn't heavy enough to hold it up. You need to keep it centered on the base to be stable. So. What's that supposed to mean? The device is made relatively cleverly, but the design is far away! IT DOES NOT WORK AS DESCRIBED.
