New formula - doesn't smell like the old one

I've been using this product since the 90's so often I buy 2-3 at a time. On my last purchase, I immediately noticed that the label was different and the list of ingredients had changed, mainly because the list of ingredients was significantly longer. The papaya extract and oat protein are gone, and the ingredient label now lists artificial colors along with some ingredients that I know are chemicals added to foods like citronellol and linalool. The biggest disappointment is that the smell is not the same. I bought this product for its performance and especially for the scent. It was a clean, slightly fruity spa scent that really lifted my spirits. The new fragrance smells like a failed attempt to replicate the original fragrance, but it fails. It's just not the same. This product has been around for so long and seems to have a very loyal following, I don't see how to restate it. To be honest I can't speak about the performance as I haven't used it and won't use it. The change of smell is too big a problem for me. It doesn't smell as unique as it used to. Ancient Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Deionized Water (Aqua), Ginseng Extract (Panax Ginseng Root), Grapefruit Extract (Citrus Grandis Fruit), Papaya Extract (Carica Papaya), Glycerin. , Sodium Chloride, Oat Protein (Avena Sativa Kernel). New ingredients on current label I received Aqua (Water, Eau), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract on 7/27/16. , Linden Flower Extract, Ginseng Root Extract, Panthenyl Hydroxypropyl Steardimonium Chloride, Fragrance (Fragrance), Benzyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamaldehyde, Linalool, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 15985 (Yellow 6), CI 16035 (Red 40)
