For almost $500 named Lazy Boy, you expect a good chair. It's not a very good chair and after a year of working from home I'm really at the end of my bowel movement. As others have said, the seat is a bit odd. Although the packaging says the pillow is memory foam, I don't think it's because it doesn't feel like sitting down or standing up. I'm not a tall or large person, just wanted a bigger chair, so I can't imagine how long a seat with a cushion would last for a 300lb person. as the chair suggests. As another reviewer pointed out, the odd seat cushion makes my right leg and buttocks feel a little numb. The backs of my feet don't touch the front of the seat (as another reviewer said, this was an issue), but there's definitely something about the way the front of the seat is angled that makes it a little unbalanced. I use a footstool to keep my feet slightly elevated. The owner's manual says nothing about how to adjust the seat other than "turn the handle to a comfortable position". Which way do I turn the handle if I notice a difference etc. So I photographed the back of the seat from the left and right sides. The right side is about an inch lower (see pictures). I'll have to try removing and redoing the screws to see if that makes a difference. I can see the concerns others have shared about bonded leather, and if I leave it on I intend to cover the "skin" with fabric. Do not put caps on the lever screws as you will need to tighten the levers over time. I've only had one day and I'm already tightening the bolts again. As others have said, I see the wheels need replacing. Although the wheels are a bit sturdier than other chairs I've bought, they don't roll well on hardwood floors. I can't imagine how they will roll on the carpet. Pros 2: (1) The chair is heavy and the base feels very solid. But as another reviewer pointed out, the chair tends to tilt to the left over time. I see this happening to me while trying to adjust the weight on the right side to avoid numbness. But I don't have the "free" seat feeling that I've had in other chairs. (2) They give you a hex key to make turning the screws easier. This is my sixth chair! I teach so I don't usually sit that much during the day but my god I don't know why it's so hard to get the right chair. I've tried the gel seat cushion and it seems to make it worse because it gets your head over the top of the chair (mine is 5ft 6in). I'll try the Backjoy seat and see if that makes a difference. It feels like my legs need to be higher at an angle in the front. That doesn't look like my rocker tape! I am extremely disappointed. If the Lazy Boy wants to give its name to another company for use, they have to check if the quality matches the main products. Selling a product with a well-known brand that has nothing to do with the quality seems very deceptive of the original product.
