Review on ✒️ Optimized Fisher Cap-O-Matic Space Pen with Stylus by Dave White

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great pen, terrible stylus

I'll start with this; Despite my 3 star rating, I would not recommend buying this pen. I'll get to the why in a moment. Good things first. I have owned several Fisher Bullet Pens in the past. I've always liked the way they write, but never liked the fact that they don't come with pocket clips to attach to my bags. I also find removing and replacing the cap on the back of the pen cumbersome. Everything was decided by this pen. This pen has a nice click when you press the top of the pen. The ink flows smoothly with little smudges or smudges and after over a year of use I still haven't run out of ink in the cartridge that came with it so this thing is great as a pen. As a pen, however, this thing sucks. It's actually one of the worst pens I've ever used, and that's saying a lot considering I have several promotional pens that were given to me free of charge by the hotel I stayed at. As a stylus, this stylus is virtually useless with the iPad (which is what I actually wanted it for) and the iPhone. You have to press pretty hard for the stylus to register, and even then it's not consistent, when you write with it on apps like Evernote, the handwriting gets messy and often has gaps in the letters where the stylus can't activate the sensors. To make matters worse, the stylus tip is screwed onto the pen and keeps coming loose, requiring it to be screwed back in. Well one day after owning a pen for a few months the inevitable happened and the tip fell off and was never found. left me again with a pen that requires you to press down on a sharp piece of metal to click. That sucks, save your money. Fisher is obviously aware of this issue because if you go to their website and look at this pen, you will see a statement in big red bold letters stating that the needle is considered a disposable needle and is therefore not covered by any warranty or replacement. However, I have to say that I was so impressed with the functionality of the pen that I decided to buy another Fisher pen, this time without the useless pen tip that I would just drop off. Like a pen 5/5 Like a stylus 1/5
