Review on Viozon Monitor Adjustable Laptop Computer by Jeff Sprunk

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Disappointing at Computers & Accessories

I had really high hopes for this stand. The features offered for the price seemed like a great deal. Upon opening the Revain box it was apparent that the box inside had been returned earlier as the Revain return label was still on the Viozon box. Upon unpacking the parts, I noticed odd damage on one of the levers, abrasions on the fairing, and a scratch on the base. Disappointing but not enough to make me return the item. Assembly wasn't too difficult, but the instructions aren't particularly clear and don't include a step (or screw label) for assembling the mounting base. It wasn't that hard to understand, but it added time to set up. When the build was complete I was dissatisfied with the limited range of motion and the amount of effort required to adjust the arms. The laptop armrest requires a fair amount of force on the top of the armrest - meaning you have to grab the laptop or go to the edge of the table to push it down. I found the hand wasn't as stable as I had hoped. Typing on an open laptop was neither comfortable nor easy. The monitor arm moves side to side and back and forth, and you can tilt and rotate the monitor up and down to view the page; However, you can't just move the entire monitor up or down - I figured this mount would let me do that. The monitor arm is in a fixed position and to move the monitor up or down (important if you have a sit-stand lift) you must move the entire assembly up or down on the mounting stand. This is almost impossible due to the weight of the monitor. A day later I decided that the product really didn't meet my requirements and as I felt I had received a damaged/used product I decided to return it.

Pros
  • Monitor Stand
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
