I am very happy with this product as long as it solves multiple problems with one little thing. I mean it can of course work as a closet or kitchen lamp as it's called, but it actually latches and fastens with a magnet (relatively strong and firm). That means you can place them anywhere you need bright light. I used to put one in my basement entrance as a tactile light, it would light up to show directions when I got close, and then carry it with me until I found my basement light switch. It looks more like an old style torch. Unlike the older version's other strip lights with exposed LED bulbs, this one has a frosted shade, so it's fine as long as you're looking directly at the glowing surface. As mentioned, the brightness is 300 lumens, about the same as a standard 25W incandescent bulb. In your home, you typically need 10-20 lumens of light per square foot (the kitchen needs a lot more), so illuminating an entire room with that small strip light may not be the wisest choice. It works great as a touch night light, any type of fill light, and a camping light that can illuminate your tent beautifully. I really recommend it to people who are looking for an update for their kitchen.
