Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Fresh Foam Crag Trail V2 Sneaker for Women by New Balance by Khiam Burton

The most painful toe box.

I really liked the look of these shoes. I've found them recommended for plantar fasciitis sufferers who want to go hiking. When I added orthopedic insoles to these boots - I bought a half size larger than usual - the following problems arose: The tongue was too narrow to cover the top of the foot2. toe box. I thought the New Balances were generally wide footed shoes and I've worn ASICS or Nike shoes throughout my running career. The toe, especially on the outside near the bottom lace hole, was the most painful I have ever experienced. I have repeatedly adjusted the bottom laces to eliminate this, but have been unsuccessful. At the top of the hill of my hike, after groaning in pain in those boots, I removed my orthotics and headed down the stairs. The sock hasn't changed - still uncomfortable but too tight. On the way to the car I decided to call NB and tell them as I'm sure they don't want these shoes. I called and waited so long. Never received anyone. Revain customer service was quick to respond, accepting the return and refunding my money. Sorry NB for the bad review - I tried to tell you directly. I have great respect for this brand and was disappointed to have had such a bad experience on my first foray. I'll try Keen Targhees instead. If you decide to buy these and have orthotics, you can try wide ones even if they aren't what you normally wear.
