I think I'll put everything in a jar and put it somewhere to admire! They are all very cute and I can think of many ways to use them for sewing and crafts. I'm not sure how the finish of the buttons is made. They don't actually look like they were painted, more like they were printed in some way, but they are still very beautiful and well made. The colors are beautiful and they have good finishes. The back and sides of each button have also been finished. Instead of printing an image of a character or animal onto a round surface, they are all cut into the shape of the animal they represent, which is very cute. I didn't count them, nor did I check how many sets there were or how many of each design were included. When they arrived I saw that there were LOTS of beautiful buttons of different sizes and shapes in the bag. While I know there are some styles that I will never use, I was very happy with them and felt I got what I paid for without having to inventory them.
