Great for cars with racing buckets

I have a Miata NA set up for autocross and with aftermarket racing buckets the steering wheel makes getting in and out of such a small car very difficult. Bought to fit an existing steering wheel adapter and make the wheel detachable so we could get in and out of the car more easily. ITS WORTH IT! I know it's a status item or symbol for some, but for bucket car functionality, this is a 100% game changer! I would say one thing if like me you are getting this to make an aftermarket already installed. detachable steering wheel, do yourself a favor and purchase a matching NRG short arm adapter. When using this detachable bracket in conjunction with your existing standard size steering wheel bracket kit you have to reach for the signal arm and that's just annoying. This is not a deal breaker and in no way the seller/NRG's fault, it was just an oversight on my part. I've had it for 5 years now and it still drives me crazy every time I'm driving it down the road and I have to reach for the wipers, headlights or horns a bit. Eventually I'll pick up and buy a short hub, but that means taking it apart and reinstalling it, which I was just too lazy to do. So get it right the first time. You will thank me later. Installation is not difficult, it just takes a little time. Another tip: Use Loctite for all screws. I didn't use Loctite the first time I put it together and a little later the screws started to loosen and loosen. I kept a hex wrench in the car and checked it before every ride, but after a few tries/tightening I had to buy new bolts because the hex bolts were starting to round. I used blue Loctite when I installed the new hex bolts and they have not loosened or had any problems since. worth the money. PLEASE don't skimp on an unnamed detachable handlebar mount just to save a few bucks. NRG has been doing this for a while and has a good reputation for good reason. You really shouldn't trust your life/management to an unnamed brand just to save a few bucks. It can literally be the difference between life and death.
