I was looking for something unique for our landline and this is an interesting topic of conversation! This phone has great looks. I really like how the pen sits firmly in the tube when you hang it up. It feels solid. I was hoping it would have a rotary switch for a more authentic look, but the button is MUCH simpler! When the phone rings, it's a digital ring instead of ringing. So it doesn't sound like what it looks like, but we're used to it. We tried a ringing phone but it was too loud and made us wince. The phone hangs on a single screw in the wall which, as mentioned in another review, made the phone unstable. To keep it from rocking I put 2 pieces of double sided tape on the bottom and it holds up well.
