I did not use the ball as intended. I needed a good solid ball for the top of the arm. The lever has a wooden ball that is pressed and frankly not very comfortable to use. I knew I had to press the lever for the ball and was hoping that the ball's threaded hole would be large enough to fit through the lever. It wasn't what required threading the inside of the lever and resizing the threads in the ball. Quite a project in general. But the ball is very beautiful and durable, which made it possible to change the size. Now that the project is complete, pulling the lever is a pleasure and the ball is very comfortable to use.
